Introduce Yourself- Justine Collins

Hello everyone! My name is Justine Collins and I'm from Collinsville, CT -funny, right?- and I am so excited to be in Women Writers with you all! I'm taking this course mostly to fulfill a CCC requirement but also because I have a genuine interest in reading, writing, and Women and Gender Studies.

I am a Junior BFA Musical Theatre Major with a minor in French. I have many jobs including working at the campus health center and being a summer camp counselor (and occasionally a winter camp counselor). Some of my favorite hobbies include cooking, reading, singing, dancing, acting, and engaging in good political discourse.

I like laughing a lot and telling corny jokes.

Some of my favorite books include The Name of the Wind and Brave New World for fiction works and The Design of Everyday Things and anything by Mary Roach (Stiff, Spook, Bonk, etc) for non-fiction.

Some TV shows I love are Mythbusters, Law and Order, IT Crowd, Bob's Burgers, and 30 Rock.

I'm pretty much an open book so anything you want to know about me please feel free to ask! I love meeting new people and chatting so if you ever want to get food or coffee let me know. I very much look forward to working with you all this semester.
